  • Aromatics of juicy red fruits, toasty sweet oak and hints of vanilla. Flavors follow similarly and mostly noted is rich berry pie. This wine once again shows nice consistency and balance throughout the entire experience – from the aromatics through to the finish. The mouth-feel is rich in texture and the finish sails on framed by firm but velvety tannins.

    Production Notes
Cabernet Sauvignon State Lane VIneyard, Clone 337 Yountville, Napa Valley (34%) Cabernet Sauvignon Tietjen Vineyard, Old Cope Clone Rutherford, Napa Valley (33%) Cabernet Sauvignon Yewell Vineyard, Clone 337 St. Helena, Napa Valley (17%) Merlot Knollwood Vineyard, Clone 181 Oak Knoll District, Napa Valley (16%) The CORLEY RESERVE Cabernet Sauvignon is our flagship wine of this varietal each year. In 2010, we selected 12 barrels that represented our best efforts in winemaking and winegrowing. The separate vineyards were harvested, fermented and aged separately so that we could evaluate and select the best barrels of each vineyard lot for this blend. Keeping the vineyards separate through the early aging also allows us to tailor the winemaking to each individual site. The primary blend was assembled at 18 months of aging, allowing for another 10 months of aging in barrel after blending. Oak – 28 Months in 84% New French Oak, Tight Grained, Medium Plus Toast.
    Winemaker Notes
The aromas are very expressive, displaying ample dark ripe berry fruit, mocha and cigar box notes. There is a pleasant beam of vanilla and spicy clove character that integrates with the dark fruit on the nose. On the palate, the wine is powerful. The fruit is dark and expressive, offering ripe blackberry and black cherry flavors with a medley of vanilla and mocha tones from the barrels. It has a full body, with ample yet balanced tannins that will match well with a range of dishes, yet will also provide the wine with the backbone for graceful long term aging. Drink Now through 2028. Estimated Peak 2016-2024.
