The wine is fragrant with red berries, slightly spicy notes, hints of nutmeg and vanilla; flavors of dark berries, herbs and spice, hints of vanilla carry through to the palate; and the mouth-feel is very nicely balanced and rich.
The 2010 Yewell Cabernet Sauvignon is displaying the most refined tannins of our Vineyard Designate series. This is typical of this vineyard. I find nice ample red berry aromas that are wonderfully supported by a rich layer of toasty oak. The texture of the wine is wonderful and seamless, and the deep berry fruit comes through all across the palate. The finish is rich and lingering. Drink now through 2020. Estimated Peak 2014-2018
