The Corley Family has been producing Cabernet Sauvignon since 1980. We farm five vineyards in the Oak Knoll District, Yountville, Rutherford, and St Helena sub-appellations of Napa Valley. This affords us the opportunity to blend wines that embody the complexity of Napa Valley and produce Cabernet Sauvignons with wonderfully rich and complex aromas, vibrant red and dark berry fruit flavors, and full, rich, and lingering finishes. Our experience, access to our estate grown cabernet franc and merlot, and the deft hand of winemaker, Chris Corley, yields Cabernet Sauvignons that balance fruit, tannins and oak in wines that are approachable today and worthy of cellaring for a tomorrow that is well into the future.

Tasting Notes
I find dark, luscious aromas of boysenberry, blackberry and anise with tones of lightly toasted oak and hints of vanilla. The lighter tones from the barrels are a nice balance to the dark tones of the wine. On the palate, the wine is rich in texture, with a full-bodied mid-palate. The moderate tannins frame the wine very nicely as it enters a very long, lingering finish. Drink now through 2042.

Production Notes
The 2016 vintage represents another year of phenomenal quality wines from our vineyards and across Napa Valley. The near-perfect 2016 growing season started early, saw ideal weather conditions throughout and we picked before the valley's first significant fall rainstorm. The wines from 2016 are displaying ripe fruit, great structure and balance. The flavors and aromas that developed in the fermenters and during barrel aging were stunning and following these wines’ progress through the barrel aging was a winemaking pleasure. In our minds, 2016 will be considered one of the classics of this recent string of wonderful harvests.
