Our Monticello Vineyards designated wines are distinctive representations of Napa Valley wine known for their balance and are recognized as the Corley Family's original wines. The wines have always been produced in limited quantities and are styled to be 'food wines': wines that are full of flavor but the fruit, oak, acid or tannins are in balance to complement rather than dominate a meal. Limited quantities are produced (2,000 to 4,000 cases per varietal annually).

 | 2008 MONTICELLO VINEYARDS Rose offers bright fruity, floral, citrus and melon aromas. The wine has a medium texture but also a very nice balanced acidity. |

Our Vintage 2008 MONTICELLO VINEYARDS Estate Grown Chardonnay has nice aromas of pears, apricots, figs, vanilla and light butterscotch. The fruit is balanced by lightly toasted and creamy oak tones. |
 | The 2006 MONTICELLO VINEYARDS Jefferson Cuvee Cabernet Sauvignon is a nice mix of dark berry aromas with hints of clove and nutmeg in the background. The wine is big and full bodied with a rich core and moderate tannins which help to frame the wine and will help support the wine through may years of graceful aging. |
 | Our 2007 MONTICELLO VINEYARDS Estate Grown Syrah starts out with an impressive peppery aroma, which opens up to spicy, gamy, plum sauce and brambly-berry aromas. |
 | The 2007 MONTICELLO VINEYARDS Estate Grown Pinot Noir has very strong red-berry aromatics, including raspberry and strawberry. There are hints of ginger, clove and vanilla which accent the fruit. |
 | The 2007 MONTICELLO VINEYARDS Cabernet Franc has a nice spicy aroma profile, accented by rich ripe fruit and a hint of toasty dark chocolate from the oak. |

The Tietjen Vineyard typically expresses itself with moderately dark fruit and a firm grip of tannin on the mid-palate. This has made it one of the consistently great wines for us to work with in terms of both blending and as a stand-alone vineyard designate. This year, I find those nice dark berry aromas, hints of black licorice, vanilla and coffee tones from the toasted oak. The tannin structure is very fine and well balanced. |
 | Our 2006 Estate Grown Merlot displays pleasing bright fruit aromas of cherry and cranberry. There are subtle background tones of vanilla and oak which accent the fruit. |
 | The 2006 MONTICELLO VINEYARDS "Tietjen Vineyard" Cabernet Sauvignon is fragrant with Red berries, slightly spicy notes, hints of nutmeg and vanilla.
