This wine shows nice red-berry and blackberry aromas with accents of eucalyptus and other nice herbal spice notes on the nose. On the palate the wine is showing an exceptional balance of rich texture and
fine-grained tannins which form a graceful backbone to the vibrant fruit flavors. The wine has a gentle but lasting and well-structured finish which fares well with a rich meal or a backyard barbecue.
In 1990, we envisioned a rich, opulent bordeaux style blend. A winedisplaying full, rich, deep, dark, concentrated flavors, sensuous aromas of ripe red berry and black fruits and a hint of spice and a generous
velvety texture on the palate. The wine debuted from the 1999 Vintage.
The 2007 Proprietary Red wine is a Cabernet Franc (54%), Merlot (35%) and Syrah (11%) blend. The three varietals were all harvested, sorted, crushed, and fermented separately as individual lots. Our fermentation regimen is tailored to each varietal, so the punch-down and pump-over schedule is different for each lot. By doing this we are trying to selectively extract the fruit, aromas and color that each varietal offers to the blend. The wine was aged in French oak barrel for 26 months.
